IIM USA, the American alumni body of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) is pleased to announce its 2007 Fall Convention to be held at the Stern School of Business, NYU on Saturday the 15th of September, 2007.The theme of convention is "Changing World Economic Order-Key Drivers and Trends for the Coming Decade" and features prominent speakers from Main Street, the financial industry, academia and consulting. IIM USA takes great pleasure in recognizing the inception of the Indian Institute of Management as the fruit of Indo-American collaboration in the field of education in the second half of the twentieth century.
Key founding participants of IIM included the Central and State Governments of India, the Ford Foundation, leading American business schools and pre-eminent Indian and American visionaries and thinkers of the times. In a modern twenty-first century context, that spirit of partnership is preserved between IIM and leading US business schools via numerous exchange programs and joint educational initiatives that exist and continue to grow.
